After enjoying the nightlife in St. Augustine, I've decided to get something very quick and cheap to eat. Denny's was a choice of mine. And did I ever made the right choice. I had a red velvet smoothie for my drink and a avocado chicken sandwich. Both of which were very good. The service was very superb as well, with the waitress being very attentive and very social with my party. Of course, it really wasn't really busy at all, and it was very quiet. I'll definitely come back again.

I like this Denny's. It has the newer "diner" style as compared to the old school (tired) looking Denny's. Service here was very good. This was our 2nd trip to this particular restaurant. I had the Meat Lovers omelet.... and it was HUGE!!! Way more meat than eggs... just the way I like it. My wife had a waffle dish, and it looked really, really good too! She would not share with me! :( One of my favorite things at Denny's now is the new "BOLD" coffee they are service... HUGE improvement of the old stale stuff they used to dole out. A+ If you have not been into a Denny's for a while... I would give this place a try.

The other review must have been a one time thing. Food was great, and so was our server Adele.

While, visiting Saint Augustine I wanted a sandwich. I'd visited Denny's the day before for the first time and had the slamwich. So, the next day I was still craving it and wanted it again. I feel like it was better the second day and this Denny's was pretty damn good. We waited about 5 minutes before someone came over to our table. We ordered water and then the waitress came back for the food order. No kidding - in another 5 minutes our food was coming towards the table. The food was so hot I couldn't even eat any for a while. I was so hungry I almost burned my mouth. The menu had the pancake puppies (hush puppies in pancake form) and they looked so delectable. I had to try them. They weren't too good to me because they were too sweet but my boyfriend enjoyed them. He said they tasted like funnel cake and since funnel cake is his vice, he was in heaven. Overall, this Denny's was delightful. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because it was a while before someone first came over and it wasn't packed with a morning rush. Maybe she was in the bathroom or running her mouth... lol

I was looking fwd to a little bit of Denny's and went to the one near the St Augustine Outlet. We sat there for a few minutes before our waitress came over. Got our drinks and decided to see how long it would take. 10 min later she arrived with our water and spilled it in the table. I asked for some napkins and my wife asked for some silverware. After waiting over 10 min this time , we got up and left and never to return.

What a terrible Dennys. Tables that sat after us were done eating and gone by the time we got our food. One of the meals was wrong. An item we ordered that was supposed to come out before the food came out, came out when we were done watt. When we asked where is was the waitress says "It's in the microwave, it will be right up"! To top off the horrible service the place was disgusting. The restrooms were the worst I have ever seen in a restaurant...no seriously...that bad. Walking back from the restroom to my table the kitchen and prep areas were filthy. I'm actually mad at myself now for eating there after seeing the restrooms and prep area. I can only imagine the kitchen.

Omelette was the worst....eggs was fried hard and vegetables were undercooked. Belgian waffles were tasteless. Would not go back.

We don't typically eat at Denny's but it was either there or fast food. Surprisingly, it was very good. We both had breakfast skillets for dinner (new menu as of last night they said) and neither of us finished, but man was it good. I'm not sure how "light" my lite fare was, but the egg whites were just right, not too much cheese, and the veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband created his own skillet and liked it too. Our food was hot. Very very very hot. I love that we had to wait to eat it. Our waitress, Danielle, was very pleasant and on top of things. She checked in on us very often but wasn't hovering. She was friendly and cheerful and knowledgeable of the new menu. I hope they realize what a gem she was tonight. I hope she's always so pleasant as she made our visit extra enjoyable. Our only complaint about Denny's is it seems"old" and outdated. I'm not sure if they cater to an older crowd or a late night crowd too drunk to pay attention, but it seems as if they got stuck in a time warp in the late 70's or early 80's. It was very clean but it just feels like things are gonna be sticky if I touch them. Nothing was sticky or dirty. Even the bathrooms were clean. All Denny's give me that same sticky, time warped feeling. That being said, the food was very good; the service was excellent. I'd go back if it was always going to be so good.

Enjoyed our visit. Wife ordered fit slam- egg whites were perfect, I ordered sante fe grill- very tasty. Our waitress was very accommodating and had a good sense of humor. We were in a larger group that they placed in what appears to be a separate meeting room toward the back of the restaurant. It would probably hold 40 to 50 people when properly arranged. The room could be walled off separate from the restaurant.

Despite being short-handed, the two waitresses and manager kept up with a full restaurant, including a large group who table-camped then wanted separate checks. The place was very clean, and the service was impeccable, and that's the only reason I gave this place any stars. The food here was awful and very high. I ordered a club sandwich with fries, which totalled around $9.00. The sandwich wound up being a few slices of processed meat, melted onto two slices of bread. Are you kidding me? The spicy fries added fifty cents. The tiniest cup of coffee I've seen in a restaurant was another two dollars. Denny's used to be the place to hang out and get something decent for a decent price. The crummy sandwich and a hamburger, with two coffees, cost us twenty-five dollars. If the menu and prices were decent, this could be a five star place because of the extraordinary service. But nothing makes up for a customer feeling totally ripped off and hungry.

I remember when this Denny's was new. It was a fantastic place for an affordable meal, and especially a good after hours type of restaurant. I went to elementary school and church here in the area growing up. I recently moved back to live, the area has always had special appeal to me. It was quite a disappointment to be greeted by not a hostess but what seemed to be a male employee of somekind? I felt as if I had walked in on a situation of sorts when he rudely asked if I dared needed anything "Hey Buddy can I help you with something" I was asked in such a way as if I was a door knocker waking up someone at there home in the middle of the night?? My niece who had slipped through before me to use the restroom and was returning as he was processing my business with them, and quickly collected the fact that we were there to eat. Though he did assume she was my daughter by saying "oh your hear to eat with your daughter" I started to ask him just why are you here? But I am not rude like that. In addition I will withhold my opinions on specific interactions and just say that the staff are probably being way to personal to take care of business. The waitresses were very cordial and friendly, the food is average, breakfast being more consistently of good quality. The reason for two stars is because towards the end at checkout the same man had to interrupt the nice waitress who was collecting my payment and tell her he needs to speak to her when she's done. "You be the judge"

Many road trips down to Florida has given us the opportunity to try Restaurants along the way. Breakfast is our favorite meal on vacation and eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns, English muffins, coffee and orange juice and the morning Florida sun go well together. We stumbled on to this Denny's after our usual stop back up 95 a bit was way too full and rude and the table next to the restroom entrance was totally unacceptable. This Denny's however was located conveniently off 95 and had plenty of great seating including our favorite, a booth by a window. Seating is half the experience. The other parts, service and food were excellent and we went out of our way to use this Denny's every chance we could while in the area and for our return trip home. Experiences like this make for great vacations.

Stay away. Food gave everyone in my group an upset stomach, food took forever and didn't even come out all at once. Our server wasn't even concerned that we were waiting for a long period of time for our food or that when it showed up some of our orders were wrong and half the food was cold. Save you're money and time.
